Tina Otte is a registered midwife, holding an international certificate in childbirth education. She is a specialist in prenatal exercise and a certified baby massage instructor and has extensive knowledge of breastfeeding. She has been instructing child birth classes for over 25 years and is the mother of two grown daughters.

Diana du Plessis

Diana du Plessis is an independent Midwifery consultant and researcher. She specializes in midwifery and neonatology and lectures widely to nursing professionals and academic audiences on a national and international level. She is a passionate childbirth educator and national spokesperson on breastfeeding.

Petro Tham

Petro Thamm, Regional Director (Africa) of the Association of Professional Sleep Consultants, is the only certified sleep consultant in Africa ,trained by Dana Obleman from Sleep Sense TM Institute in America and heads up Good Night – Child Sleep Consultancy. She specializes in baby and toddler sleep and helping parents struggling with their child’s sleep by using positive sleep solutions and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy type treatments.

Kath Megaw

Kath is a paediatric dietitian who has been in private practice for the past 15 years. After qualifying as a dietitian, Kath studied further and gained specialist experience in paediatric and special needs dietetics. Kath speaks at various baby and toddler seminars around the country and she is a regular guest on the Etv Great Expectations show and a variety of other media.

No. You must purchase a combi-if you would like to attend both workshops.

  1. Can I bring a partner to the workshops?

Ticket to the workshops is only for 1 guest. Anyone else who would like to attend must purchase a separate ticket.

  1. Can I bring children/babies to the workshops?
    We DO NOT recommend bringing your baby to the workshops. This is to ensure that you get the maximum benefit of the day, have the opportunity to chat to other parents, interact with our panel of experts and have your questions answered.

Parents with babies under the age of 6 months may bring them along as older children can be a distraction to the other guests. A nappy changing facility and breastfeeding area is available at the MamaMagic expo.

  1. Can I buy my ticket on the day of the workshop at the venue?
    Unfortunately because of space limitations we advise that you buy your ticket beforehand on www.computicket.co.za to avoid disappointment.  Ticket sales for the workshops close on the 21st of October 2016.
  1. Which workshop is appropriate for me?
    Pregnancy Workshop

This session is for pregnant parents up to 3 months after birth. It covers topics such as birth myths, birthing options, pregnancy nutrition and sleep for pregnancy as well as new-born basic must know information.

Parenting Workshop

This session is for parents with children from 3 to 36 months. It covers topics such as nutrition, sleep routines, importance of play and other important must know topics for parents.
