Dr. Alison Bentley

Dr. Alison is a medical doctor who has been involved in sleep research and sleep disorders for over 25 years. She finds sleep interesting and her other interest, which has derived out of her own sleep research, is the actual research process. She also loves teaching writing and how better to do it.

Dereck Jackson

Dereck Jackson is an educator, a counsellor, an author, a radio and television talk show guest and a father.  For over twenty years, Dereck has been speaking to parents and educators about bringing up children. His entertaining, informative talks have successfully guided thousands of parents through the minefield of raising and educating their children. He has published three books namely, Discipline Without Anger or Tears – A Manual for Teachers and School Principals, Parent Burnout and Parenting with Panache.

3. Can I use my ticket to attend both workshops?

No. You must purchase a combi-if you would like to attend both workshops.

4. What does the ticket to the workshop include?

5. Can I bring a partner to the workshops?

Ticket to the workshops is only for 1 guest. Anyone else who would like to attend must purchase a separate ticket.

6. Can I bring children/babies to the workshops?

We DO NOT recommend bringing your baby to the workshops. This is to ensure that you get the maximum benefit of the day, have the opportunity to chat to other parents, interact with our panel of experts and have your questions answered.
Parents with babies under the age of 6 months may bring them along as older children can be a distraction to the other guests. A nappy changing facility and breastfeeding area is available at the MamaMagic expo.

7. Can I buy my ticket on the day of the workshop at the venue?

Unfortunately because of space limitations we advise that you buy your ticket beforehand on www.ticketpros.co.za to avoid disappointment. Ticket sales for the workshops close on the 10th of May 2016.

8.  Which workshop is appropriate for me?

Pregnancy Workshop

This session is for pregnant parents up to 3 months after birth. It covers topics such as birth myths, birthing options, pregnancy nutrition and sleep for pregnancy as well as new-born basic must know information.

Parenting Workshop
This session is for parents with children from 3 to 36 months. It covers topics such as nutrition, sleep routines, importance of play and other important must know topics for parents.

9. How do I activate my online subscription to either Your Pregnancy, Your Baby or Baba & Kleuter online Magazine?

When you book your ticket you will be able to select which online magazine you would like to subscribe to.

You subscription will be activated after a week. You will receive full details and instructions via email.
