New Product Awards Winners

Celebrating innovation and quality, alongside being the go-to source for the best parenting information around, has always been part of the very fabric of MamaMagic, The Baby Expo. It is apt therefore that Africa’s premier parenting exhibition has founded the prestigious New Product Awards: awards which celebrate excellence, giving brands and services in the baby and parenting industry the opportunity to showcase their new products and services. The reward? Winning one of the relevant category titles and of course, being awarded overall winner title with the endorsement of the best in the industry.
Judging criteria included aspects such as ease of use, functionality, safety, overall visual impact and more. These were not simply evaluated by experts: a number of moms and dads joined the judging panel to share their insights. And to acknowledge the huge importance of the opinion of parents, a special Parents Choice Awards category was created in which the end users were afforded the opportunity to judge the entries. This was extended to include online judging so that parents around the country could have their say, which resulted in a further 2,341 judging surveys being completed on the products in question.
After a year-long process with four rounds of adjudicating, the winners have been revealed. Congratulations to the following products on winning the sought after 2015 New Product Awards category titles.

• Safety Category Winner: My Buddy Tag by Eco Heart Solutions
• Travel Category Winner: Magic Mesh
• Parents’ Choice Category Winner: My Buddy Tag by Eco Heart Solutions
• Green Category Winner: Oh-Lief Natural Sunscreen Range
• Local is Lekker Category Winner: Baby Republic Onesie
• 2015 Overall Winner: My Buddy Tag by Eco Heart Solutions

Each of the deserving winners has brought tremendous improvement to the market and parents around South Africa will delight in trying them for themselves. A special congratulations to the overall winner, My Buddy Tag by Eco Heart Solutions, who also scooped up the Parents’ Choice Award.
